These are the Roman baths in Portland-Dorset, UK. So what does this have to do with photographic editing? I"m glad you asked. After cropping the image to remove some straggling tourists, I applied some selective sharpening and clarity to the stone but not to the water. There's a nice smooth reflection in the water and some steam coming off of it and I didn't want to loose that, but at the same time I wanted to show the texture of the stone.
