Welcome to Photoshop Elements 10 for first time users.
The format of this e-book assumes you have just purchased the software and have
never used it before. Therefore, we will start this book as though we have
opened the program for the first time and will set everything up as a
first-time user. If you're like most and loaded the program, located your
photos, and looked at the user interface, you may have been instantly
overwhelmed with the screen. Have no fear; I will explain all of the tools and
panels that open up as the default. As you begin to use the program and get
more experience with it, you will be able to customize your screen, displaying
the items you use the most and hiding the items you use the least. You can then
save your screen set up, or change it at any time.
Photoshop Elements 10 is designed to work on both Mac and
PC computers so all of the processes will be identical, the only difference
will be certain keyboard commands (I will include both commands for Mac and PC).
